Frequently Asked Questions

“Do you take commissions or custom works?”

  • I appreciate when asked, however, at this time I cannot take on commissions as I am one person working all jobs in my business. As creator, customer service, traveling merchant, photographer, accountant… ect. I already have so much to balance on my plate. I am placing more focus on creating items and traveling to markets to place my craft directly into your hands, but also am trying very hard to keep fresh stock online as well!

  • I often ask input in my Instagram stories. This may be a good way to chime in to, maybe, help me to create what you seek.

“I’d like to carry your work in my shop. Do you offer wholesale?”

  • Yes, however, I only take a limited number of wholesale accounts yearly.

  • I currently have items for purchase in-person at:

    • The Weeping Glass - 817 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15210

Please, express any interest via e-mail to discuss further. Thanks!

“I ordered an item. How long will it take to ship?”

  • In-stock items typically ship within 5-7 business days.

  • All items ship USPS Priority Mail with added insurance and provided tracking.

  • Items marked as “Pre-Order” always require additional production time. This varies by order purchased. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

“How do you determine shipping cost?”

  • Shipping is calculated by weight and location of address.

    • I have no control over shipping rates they are determined by the courier. This applies for both domestic and international shipping.

      • Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

  • If you are local, you may select the “Local Devlivery” option and reach out to me for availability.

“What is your returns policy?”

  • I do not accept returns due to the nature of breakable items. Each item is handcrafted and cannot be assured to return in its original condition.

“My item was damaged in transit. What do I do?”

  • If an item is damaged in transit you must go to USPS to file a claim. Offer them as much detail as possible as well as photos to the damaged packaging and item so they may refund you for broken items.

“Can I microwave this? Will it break in the dishwasher? Can I use this to cook? Is this fire-safe?”

  • Yes, no, yes, YES! All current wares are Food-Safe. Most all pieces are Microwave, Dishwasher, and Fire-Safe unless otherwise noted in their product description.

    • Stoneware is a resilient material and can withstand very high heat without damaging your item.

    • Some glazes may not be safe for microwave use mainly due to metallic coating.

“I love your work! Where can I learn more about upcoming releases, and find out about new products?”

“What are ‘Seconds’ items?”

  • “Seconds” are items sold at a discounted price for defects that do not interfere with usability of an item, such as imperfections in glaze, hairline cracks, and some OOAK test pieces.

    • Quality details will be noted in each item description.
